Hundreds of Combinations
There are more than 1,000 label / ribbon combinations.  Ribbons must always be wider than the label or the printhead will be exposes to the wrong material and will be damaged. 

Wax Ribbons:	Good print quality on paper at low cost; however, label may fade, scratch or smear.
Wax / Resin Ribbons:	Excellent quality on most materials; higher heat setting is required.
Resin Ribbons:	Highest quality of print and smear resistance; requires higher heat setting.
